Why is it impossible to imagine a canapé without cheese as well as bread? Because cheese can be combined with a great number of different ingredients.

The easiest and most delicious combination. Canapés with cheese, vegetables, or fruit are perfect. They are easy-to-make but look wonderful! The best combinations are cheese and grape; olives, parsley, and hard cheese; cherry tomatoes, basil, and cheese.

Fried cheese. It’s an unusual and super-yummy dish. Cut cheese (it’s better to use brined cheese like Sulguni) into small cubes, and roll each piece in wheat flour to coat it completely. Whisk together two eggs and two tablespoons of milk in a bowl. Drop each cube into the batter, and then coat it in corn flour. Fry the cheese cubes with oil in a pan until a golden crust appears. Take them out, dry on paper towels, and serve on skewers.

Cheese rolls. Put any filling on thin cheese slices and roll them up. Then place the rolls on skewers.

Cheese balls. This dish has a celebratory look, and it takes no time to make. Mix one portion of fat-free cottage cheese with 2 portions of brined cheese. Roll the cheese into balls and coat them in fine-grated hard cheese, chopped greens or grated egg yolks (boil the eggs before cooking). One more idea: take any kind of hard cheese and one hard-boiled egg and grate them. Add one tablespoon of mayonnaise and mix everything together. Roll cheese balls, then coat them in any kind of coating.

Canapé with turkey. Cut fillets of turkey into small cubes (with the side about 2 cm). Roll each cube into a slice of bacon, put them on a baking tray, and bake them until they are done. Drop the cubes in barbecue sauce, and stick a skewer through the piece of meat and a small round piece of toast. Garnish each canapé with corn.

Chicken with cherry tomato. Crush a clove of garlic and cut chicken fillets into cubes. Heat up a skillet. Add the garlic, chicken, salt and pepper, and fry them until they are done. Then let them cool down. Fry whole cherry tomatoes with the same oil for 1 minute. Place the meat and tomatoes on skewers and heat them up in the oven before serving.

Canapé with duck breast. Sprinkle your duck breast with salt and pepper, and bake it until it’s done. After cooling the meat, slice it. Cut a ripe persimmon into pieces, and cover each piece with a slice of duck. Garnish each canapé with a berry (you can use blueberry, cranberry or raspberry) and a fresh mint leaf. Serve on skewers.
